Plot without spoilers:
We follow a fierce, sharp-tongued protagonist (who I will protect at all costs) as she navigates a world that’s dark, twisty, and full of secrets. There’s ancient magic, sinister bargains, and a looming war that no one seems truly ready for. And just when you think you’ve got a grip on what’s going on—bam. Plot twist.

The characters? Chefs kiss.
I live for messy, complex characters, and Direbound delivers. No one is completely good or evil. Everyone’s motivations are just a little off-kilter, which makes every interaction feel charged. Also: The tension? Top tier. If you’re someone who thrives on emotionally fraught conversations with layers of subtext—prepare to feast.

Writing style:
